Mothers Day

These are the cards that I made for Mothers Day.

I thought it best to do the same cards and also Betty of SBS was very kind to let us have a lovely image, designed for mothers day which I felt was just ideal.  To make things a little different, I made the hair different shades of brown and did slightly different backing papers and flowers.

This is my mums card.

This is Nathan's mums card.

Money Boxes

To try and get my daughter to do as she is told the first time she is asked (she is 5 years old), I was told about this great idea of having a moneybox for her and every time she does what she is told she would get 10-20p and at the end of each month, she gets to count it all up and whatever she has she gets to spend on whatever she wants for either herself or her and her brother.

These were made with old whiskey boxes that Nathan had finished with.  Each was then covered with a choice of papers and a few embellishments.

For Ryleighs she chose a pink daisy paper with a pink border and red spotted washi tape.  She chose image Betty Medusa and asked for butterflies and flowers.  I was very lucky to recieve a very lovely handmade flower by the lovely Anita Blake.  I decorated the box whilst she was asleep and she was so happy in the morning when she saw it bless her.

This one is mine and again is made from an old whiskey box, covered in backing paper and washi tape.  The green handmade flower is another creation of Anita Blake and the feather is from Hobbycrafts wedding range, aswell as the foam roses.  The image is BettyAddams.

Our Room Door Sign

Like I did for the kids I thought I would make a door sign to go on our bedroom.  I used images ChristianThor and RioHel, both by the very talented Miss Betty of Simply Betty Stamps.  The flowers are foam roses from Hobbycraft which I heatglued.  The swirls were cut on my Silhouette machine.  The gem swirl was a gift in my Valentine box swap and the dolly is from Dovecraft.

Anniversary cards

This anniversary card I made as a commission for my mum as a card for her neighbour.  I used image Love Strung Birds from Meljens Designs and the card is a template cut on my Silhouette machine.  I added gems to the swirls for added sparkle and added some patterned paper to the inside.

This was a card that mum had asked me to make for her to give my dad for their anniversary.  Again I used another Meljens Design this time it was image Dandelion Mouse.  I used a precut window card and thought this little fella floating by was just what it needed.  They are always calling eachother soulmates so thought that sentiment fitted quite nicely and used blue backing paper to simulate sky. She was very pleased with it and my dad loved it.

This is a card that I made for my parents 39th Wedding Anniversary.  I used images by SBS Lolasif and MillerHeimdell.  The surrounds are from my silhouette machine and the papers and flower from my personal stash.

Mums Birthday Card.

I made this triple fold card for my mothers 60th birthday.  She loved the image I used which is a lovely creation by the wonderful Tamara of The Stamping Chef and the Image is Fairy Dust.  the sentiment is from SBS and actually comes with another image but I thought it went quite nicely with this.  The papers and embellishments are all from my personal stash.

Aunty Sue's Birthday Card

For this birthday card I used an image by The Stamping Chef called Cogsley Copperpot.  She is a steampunk type of image, which I love.  The papers are from my freebies received with my Papercraft Magazine and so is the butterfly.  The flower is a layered papercraft.

Aunty Jean's Birthday Card

For this card I used a lovely new image from Betty of Simply Betty Stamps and is part of her Boudoir Collection.  I used Parisian papers for the background and green and pink dollies to go behind the image and attached gems dotted around.  A white ribbon with a diamante center is attached on the top right corner and a yellow and pink rose on the bottom left corner.  I then used a peacock and sentiment rub from a freebie pack received with Papercrafter Magazine.
