Oh My Goddesses

This is the third The Stamping Chef and Simply Betty Stamps Collaboration. For this one I was part of the Design Time, so wasn't allowed to enter but it was just as much fun and I loved doing these images, especially Nile Goddess as I love all things Egypt.

The backgrounds are from Make It Crafty. Persephone is by SBS and Nile Goddess by TSC. (Links to follow).

A button for Makeitcrafty can be found to the right of this page.

Persephone

Backing paper is Courtyard by Makeitcrafty which comes as a black and white digi. The backing shape and flower button are from a collection I recently got but I forget the name sorry and cant seem to find it on my computer.  Rhinestones are gold coloured in her hair, coloured with promarkers and finished with a yellow and pink flower stack from Dovecraft.

Nile Goddess

This was made again with background 'Ancient Egyptian City' from Makeitcrafty.com.  The cartouche is from the web and made a fantastic label and the saying is actually a Ancient Egyptian Proverb.  The jars are also from Makeitcrafty.com.  The little Anubis pup was also from a free website (unfortunately I cant find the relevant address). Blue flowers and red rhinestones are from my personal stock.  Nile Goddess was coloured using promarkers.

Angel Elisabete

For this months challenge with Simply Betty Stamps I choose to do 'You're an Angel'.  I decided to do her hair red instead of the usual brown that I always do and made the card a little girly and can be used for a variety of events.

Papers, embellishments and stickers are all from my personal stash that I have built up over the years.

Wedding Bliss

This is a wedding card that I have made for my cousin for her wedding in two weeks (hopefully she wont see this lol).

The image is from Redonkadoodles and the papers are from a scrapbook collection that I have had for years but not used yet.  You probably cant see it but I have punched out the corners of the front of the card and inside the card is a green dollie with a sentiment on it. The flowers are from Dovecraft aswell as the pearls.

Fangtasia

This image is from The Stamping Chef and is called Fangtasia. I used my promarkers to colour her in and the cobra and tree are from a free image site on the web, as are the papers.

There was a little True Blood theme here for this one. The link to purchase Fangtasia is:-

Noel Demented Beauty

This lovely stamp is from The Stamping Chef and is called Demented Beauty.  I decided to colour her in Christmas colours.  I used Promarkers Crimson and Forest Green for the hat and clothes, Antique Pink for her eye-shadow and lips and a gold glitter pen for the skull and crossbones.

The accents are from Freebies that I got with Papercraft Magazine, aswell as the papers.  On this photo you can see white bits round her feet and abit round the hair, I have actually coloured these in with Pale Blue to blend in better with the background.

Little Indian Betty vs Pilgrim Corinne Part 2

 Pilgrim Corinne:- Thanksgiving colours

I used the same papers for both cards, and again the embellishments are from Miss Kate Cuttables.

The images can be purchased from Simply Betty Stamps store page at:-

Little Indian Betty vs Pilgrim Corinne

For this months challenge over on Simply Betty Stamps we were allowed to choose either Little Indian Betty or Pilgrim Corinne with the choice to do both if we so wished.  I choose to do both as they are both super cute.

The guidelines were:
Little Indian Betty:- Thanksgiving colours and Feathers

I finished this card off with some Thanksgiving embellishments that I got as freebies from Miss Kate Cuttables.  The papers are part of a Thanksgiving Backing Paper Set that I have and the feathers are from Wilkinsons kiddie craft section.

You can purchase the image here:-

Happy Birthday Tamara

This card is my Birthday card for Tamara and The Stamping Chef.  For this card I used one of TSC's new Digi stamps called Prudence and the sentiment on this card reads - 'Time flies friendship stays'.

With this digital stamps, I decided to try something a little different on the colouring and instead of using my promarkers I actually used a graphics program called 'Gimp' and I'm quite happy with the outcome.

We have a a special surprise for Tamara on her website The Stamping Chef so head over and take a look the link is below:-

Easel Card Challenge

For the Easel Card Challenge I used the image 'Leg or Breast' from The Stamping Chef.  I have never made an easel card before, so this was quite a challenge for me.

The pumpkins are from Miss Kate Cuttables, flowers and dollie are from Dovecraft. Thanksgiving papers and the quote was cut on the Silhouette and something I came up with.

Happy Birthday Betty x

I would like to wish Betty Roberts of Simply Betty Stamps a very Happy Birthday for the 11th November. This card was made for her as part of a Blog Hop and as a very lovely surprise for her when she receives them all in the post, hope she has plenty of shelve space to display them all.

Hope you have a wonderful day Betty and that you are spoiled rotten by family and friends, you deserve it. Hope you like all your cards and that we don't make you cry to much hun x

The image for the card was provided by the very talented Tamara of The Stamping Chef, who made this image especially for Betty's Birthday Card.  Details will follow for how to purchase her.

For this card I made her in light colours, blue, orange, red and purple and yellow for her hair.  I coloured the bat and skull in ice grey and covered in glitter.
The backing paper is from the 'I'm Me' Digital papers by The Stamping Chef. The Dollies are from Dovecraft and I used a pink and green and because I couldnt decide which colour to use, I folded them both in half and then placed them down as one, which I actually think works better and placed red gems on the centre of the flowers.
The flowers are also from Dovecraft and I layered 3 different colours and a gem for the centre. The Happy Birthday tag and butterflies are from packs received with my Papercraft Magazine.

Laylah - TSC

I am loving These new images of Tamara's of The Stamping Chef.  This one is Laylah and she is just heavenly.

This is actually the second colouring I have done of Laylah, the first one she is wearing purple. I preferred the green for this card and situation. For her wings I actually started out colouring them in with 2 ice grey shades and the blender and then I went over them with a glitter glue pen and covered the wings in glitter and I love them.

I used the usual colours for the face and skin, Cocoa, Sunkissed Pink and Blush, Baby Pink for the cheeks and Antique Pink for her lips.

The dress is coloured in using 3 different shades of green, Forest, Lime and Bright Green. Her hair is done in shades of brown, Walnut, Cocoa and Sandstone.

For the background I used a backing paper from Mulberrys winter collection. The pale pink paper behind Laylah is from a pack that I got with Papercraft Magazine.

I used a flower border for the top and bottom of the card and placed 3 red rhinestones on each. The birdcage is from a Paris pack and the Bonjour is also from a pack that I again got from Papercraft Magazine.  The flowers are from Dovecraft and I layered them with either 3 or 4 and in varied colours, with a rhinestone in each centre.

Serina

This image is from The Stamping Chef and is called Serina and is my Design Team creation for a Die Cuts and Ribbons challenge which begins on the 6th Nov over on The Stamping Chefs Blog and Fan Page on Facebook, come along and join the fun, the link can be found below with the link for Sirena.

This is the link to The Stamping Chef to purchase Serina, http://thestampingchef.oo.gd/Store/store/products/sirena/

This is the link to The Stamping Chef Challenge Blog where you can upload your creations, http://thestampingchef.oo.gd/Challenges/

This is the link to The Stamping Chef Recipe fan-page on Facebook if you would like to join in with the challenges,  https://www.facebook.com/groups/TSCRecipes/

Sirena is coloured in with Letraset Promarkers, the tail and ear are Green shades, Bright Green and Lime Green and then the spots I dotted on with a darker shade, Forest Green.

The skin is coloured in using shades, Coral, Sunkissed Pink and Blush, Baby Pink was used to make the cheeks look rosy and Antique Pink on the lips.  The hair was coloured in using shades, Mustard, Buttercup and Ivory.  Purple Violet was used for the shell bra, eyeshadow and the harp.

I decided to print her directly onto a tag that I got from my Silhouette Machine and coloured in with a sea blue background.  The seaweed is also an image from Silhouette and surrounded with glitter to give a shimmery watery look.
I used different sized flat bottom pearls to simulate bubbles and I found some tiny wooden fish which were given a glittery makeover to make shimmer and a small flatbottom pearl for an eye and I think they work quite well. Three small ribbons were added too.

The backing paper is called Argylle and is a free paper from the net.  The flowers are from Dovecraft's Back to Basics IV with a gem in the middle of each.  I then finished it off with tiny clear gems dotted about in Sirena's hair which I love.

Hope you like it x

Keep Calm & Craft

This image is courtesy of The Stamping Chef and is part of her Wordart Collection.  It is part of the 'Keep Calm & Craft' challenge over on The Stamping Chef Recipes Group page on Facebook.

I decided to make a picture that could be hung on the wall.  I had an old inner frame from a picture frame that I had bought ages ago.
I used a lovely pink background paper that has beautiful butterflies and flowers on, aswell as a strip of green checkers.  I then decided to bring up the starch lines of the frame by using cut out flowers and butterflies to decorate the corners of the inner frame.  I used green rhinestones for the inner parts of the flowers to give them depth and sparkle, rhinestones on the image in each of the corners in different colours just to break up the pink.  The Cupcake is a little something to add sweetness to the whole creation.

I think this would make a wonderful addition to any Crafting or Sewing Room.

Halloween Window Hanger

I decided to make up a window hanger for this image.
I used Wordart image from The Stamping Chef, the backing papers are from the internet, cant remember where and they are spider and webs for the main backing part and the green is a Happy Halloween paper.
I used a blaped two blue rose flowers round it found and wrapped two blue rose flowers round it and placed two white glitter dots top and bottom of the ribbon.  I wrote BOO with pink glitter lettering and placed 3 pink dots along the bottom.  I used a Miss Kate Cuttable Bat which was cut out using my Silhouette and put 3 green and 4 red rhinestones along the bottom of the image and a green felt vine along the top.
The image was coloured in using Letraset Promarkers.

This was the card I made awhile ago for a challenge with The Stamping Chef that I didnt manage to get complete ontime but was asked to show it anyway.

The image is called Desdemona and is from The Stamping Chef.  The backing papers I found online, the 31 and Happy Halloween are from MissKateCuttables.

This was the card that I made for Nathan for our Anniversary this year.

The Mane Event Challenge

This was for a challenge I took part in for The Stamping Chef called The Mane Event.  I decided to go down the Paris and a Show Girl route for my theme and considering I put it all together at 4am this morning, due to my little boy being wide awake, I think that it has come out rather well.  Not the best picture though, will look at redoing this at some point x

Further Birthday Cards

For my Dad's birthday, I decided to use a lovely little dog digi, as both mum and dad are great dog lovers.  Unfortunately I couldnt find a Spanial or Big Shaggy Dog digi to use as these are the to dogs they have, Jess and Bailey.

For my Father-in-Laws birthday card, I took that they like to travel and enjoy both camping and cruising.  So I found this lovely stamp of cocktails on a beach.  It was very well recieved.

For my sisters birthday card I used a digital stamp I got from Simply Betty Stamps and made this lovely pink and purple creation, even though Jeanette isnt very girly. She does love dragons like me, so I choose a Rio n Toots design, link to follow.  I used Baby Pink and Lime Green Promarkers to colour in Rio, Toots is purple and I used some glitter on one of the pillows and Toots headpiece. The accents and papers were freebies from Papercraft Magazine.

The link for purchasing Rio n Toots is:-http://simplybstamps.net/item_2037/Rio-Toots-Bedtime-Story-Digi.htm

For my Brother-in-Laws Birthday card I used a camping digital stamp, as they are very much into their camping holidays.  I think this was very much the ideal card for a man with the use of blue.

Grand Duchess

My First Design Team creation for The Stamping Chef.  This is for a challenge starting on the 23rd October and is to give participants an idea of the sort of thing to make.

The requirements for this was 1 image, 2 papers and 3 flowers.  I decided to do image Grand Duchess and tried to keep the theme sophisticated and inline with the image.

New Baby

This card was made for a lovely couple who are about to have their first baby in November.  They are not giving away whether they are having a girl or boy so I tried to keep the card as neutral as possible.

The image is by Redonkadoodles whose digital stamps I love and they are lovely and easy to colour.

Oliver's Christening Card

I had a lot of fun trying to decide what to do for his Christening card and what embellishments to use to decorate it.

I wanted it to look classic but not too plain and simple.  I think I got the balance right and as this was one of my first ever cards that I have ever made and its for my son's christening it was very personal to me and I am very proud of what I achieved.

Fortune Teller Betty and Voodoo Corinne Simply Betty Challenge

This is my entry for the Simply Betty Stamps Challenge and I have so far done 'Fortune Teller Betty', who I loved colouring.

The requirements were the use of Rhinestones and Crystal Accent.  I used the Rhinestones for the chandelier, the smaller flowers insides and around the red glitter backing paper.  I also used a green Rhinestone for the Crystal Ball, which I hope works.  I added some glitter to her scarf to give her that crystal shimmer which I hope covers the crystal accent side of the requirements.

This is a two stamp challenge, if we wanted to, and I am hoping to add 'Voodoo Corinne' to the challenge before the closing date.

Hope you like my creations x

Door Signs

These door signs I made for the kids room.  The digital stamps are courtesy of Simply Betty Stamps whose stuff I love and you will notice that I use the same Digital company's a lot for my stamps, they are lovely, talented ladies.

For Oliver's I chose the god Loki to represent him, as he is the God of Mischief and my little blonde bombshell certainly lives up to the rep lol x

For Ryleigh's I chose the Goddess Freya, classy and beautiful (most of the time) and she chose the colour of her dress, which of cause is Red.

Wrapped Up

This is another SBS Challenge and the requirements were stitching and wrappings.

I used a template from my Silhouette and stitched on the heart and then used some guaze and netting that I had in my crafting box and white glitter glue for her hair.

Thank yous

These cards were made for some special ladies that went above and beyond when I was low to pick me up and get me right again.  I owe them everything and they are wonderful women and their babies are all friends of Olivers.
I made 4 of these all identical except one had blonde hair, they loved them and made me cry lol x

This was made to say thankyou to my cousin for helping me, hubby and the kids have a wonderful day out at the zoo, without worrying about cost.  We really needed it and had a fantastic day, dispite the fact it absolutely chucked it down with rain for most of the day, but we didnt let that spoil it.

Birthday Cards

These are some birthday cards that I made for various people x

This one was made for my lovely Mother-in-Law.  I knew that she likes birds and flowers so I combined the two to make this lovely card.

This was for my wonderful husband, who has supported me thoughout this whole new hobby of mine and gives me alot of constructive critisism, which is very much appreciated.  I did the Hot Air Balloon with the Silhouette machine, aswell as the wording and the clouds.  Very simple but very much the right kinda card for him.

This was for my Nephew Alex, I thought the stamp really captured him, as he is a proper little boy and I could just see him getting into mischief with a little friend in tow.

This one I really enjoyed doing as it was for a Secret Birthday Fairy gift between my son and another September baby.  Lots of stalking to find out wants and not wants so that gifts could be bought and the colours are her favourite so had to be incorporated into the card.  She loved both the gift and the card.  You cant see too well on this picture the great detail but it was all done on the Silhouette and then printed and coloured with Promarkers, the flower in the middle had a flower button placed over the printed flower to make 3d.  Glitter glue was used for the trails from the flower out to the frames and on the butterfly trail.

This was for my daughter who turned 5 this year.
She loves fairies
and glitter.

These cards although all the same, were made for 3 very special boys for their birthdays.  They were all made using their favourite colours.  The green one was for Aaron, middle one was my own Oliver and the blue one was for Lucas, hence the initials on all of them.  These were made completely from a special card template on my Silhouette, the only addition apart from the initials was the baby donkeys which were coloured in matching colours x

Witch Mercedes

This was the first SBS Challenge that I did and was very proud of.  Witch Mercedes was interesting to do as I had no idea what I was going to do with her.  This was the first time I used my Silhouette cutting machine to cut out embellishments to decorate the card.  I used a glitter glue over the cut out spiderweb which gave it that sparkly look.

Roller Babes

I loved doing this one, again this was for an SBS/TSC challenge on Facebook.

This was the TSC one, requirements were buttons and ribbons.

This one was the SBS one and the only requirements for this one was 3 papers and the colours Lime and Hot Pink.

I used these two for birthday cards for two lovely cousins of mine, Rachael and Emma x

Zombie vs Vampire

These cards were made for an SBS/TSC challenge on Facebook and had alot of fun making them.

For the SBS Zombie, it was anything goes and glitter x

For the TSC Vampire, it was the same, anything goes, glitter and blood splatter x

A little about me x

Hi, I'm fairly new to blogging so please be patient with me whilst I work things out.

When I started out making cards it was to save money and to add a personal touch to something special.  I started out with just my Silhouette cutting machine that my lovely husband bought me for Christmas and then added a large collection of Promarker pens and thanks to some lovely ladies on crafting groups on Facebook that I started building up a rather lovely collection of Digital Stamps.

My Digital Stamps are courtesy of Simply Betty Stamps, Redonkadoodles and The Stamping Chef.  So far I have partaken in many challenges with SBS and TSC and thoroughly enjoyed myself.  Not only has it forced me to challenge my mind to put together decorations and designs for these challenges, it has also given me the opportunity to practice and improve my colouring and working out how to use my Silhouette to its full ability.

I hope that you enjoy looking at my designs and if you need something unique and special for an event and fancy something homemade please feel free to ask and I will be honoured to help.
