New Baby Cards

Here are a couple of Baby cards that I made recently.

The first one is for a very good and dear friend of mine Fiona, who has been through hell and back with her wonderful husband trying to have a family of their own, yet always being there for everyone else at the same time.  I admire and respect the pair of them and I know that they are going to make the best parents ever and that the little one is going to be the best dressed and kept baby ever, and that makes me so happy for them.

This image is an old image from The Stamping Chef and unfortunately is no longer available.  The Panda and Tiger cubs are from Misskatecuttables and the backing paper is from Docrafts Cupcake Collection.

The next one is for a couple that are going through a tough time at the moment as their Newborn Twins are very premature and in intensive care right now.  All our thoughts and prays go out to Chad and his family at this time.

For the image I used a Meljens Designs Sweet Little Donkey.  The backing papers are Docrafts and the Baby Monkey and Hippo are again from Misskatecuttables.

March/April Fanpage Challenge - Part Three

For my third and last entry I used Rum Pirate Corinne and the requirements again are anything goes, just add twine.

Like the previous two, I used two separate papers for the backing.
A ship and compass backing paper with a slice of treasure map paper through the middle.  I then punched a couple holes on either side of the card and threaded twine through and attached a bronze little charm of an owl on a moon.  I then again used a couple of the skull and crossbones embellishments to hide the holes.  I again combined the skull embellishment with the sentiment to make a unique label and outlined with green glitter.
I found a rum bottle clipart which I shrunk down and made a few copies and then cut them out to use as embellishments.

You dont have to enter with all three images, you can pick one and go with that, but I love Betty's images and they are fantastic value for money too so I don't mind making all three.

March/April Fanpage Challenge - Part Two

For my second card of the series of 3 I used Treasure Chest Sheri and the requirements were anything goes just use Gold or Yellow Glitter in our projects.

I used two different backing papers.  On the left is a Pirate ship and sunset paper and on the right is a treasure map paper.  I tied yellow ribbon round and attached an old wheel charm that I found from an old handbag and I think works just right.  Again I attached the skull and crossbones embellishments received with Cannon Betty to the sentiment and outlined with gold glitter.
I attached three loose skull embellishments all covered in gold glitter.  I used a small piece of netting behind the sentiment and all the embellishments and the image are attached using foam squares to add lift.  I added a little gold glitter to her hair and on the polka dots on her head scarf.

March/April Fan Page Challenge - Part 1

For this months SBS challenge we were given a Pirate Theme.  First up is Cannon Pirate Betty and the requirement was Skulls.

We had an anything goes, just use skulls on whatever we wanted from papers to embellishments.  I found a lovely backing paper that was just black with a paisley type black and white skull which I used on the right of the card and then on the left I used a skull and crossbones paper.  The cut out skull and crossbones came as a separate attachment with Cannon Pirate Betty and sentiment.  I attached a skull to my sentiment and then cut this out and outlined with purple glitter and then I attached four separate little skulls to the card with foam pads to make them stand out, aswell as Betty and the sentiment.  I usually put some form of flowers on my cards but for these I didnt want to over complicate them and thought they didnt really need them.

Nathans Birthday Card

Here is the birthday card that I made Nathan.
I used TSC Slippery When Wet image, which I thought he would just love.  Backing papers are from a copy of Papercraft Magazine.  The sentiment I printed and cut with my Silhouette machine and the colourful eyes are from my personal stash.
