Recent Birthday Cards

This is a birthday card that I made for one of my daughters best friends.  She is a huge Frozen fan and it was obvious which image I was going to use for this.  The image is of Elsa and was from Simply Betty Stamps but unfortunately she is no longer available.

I coloured her with promarkers and added gems to the snowflakes to add a little sparkle.  Backing papers are from my stash of free papers provided with my Papercrafter Magazines.  I used a heart dollie for the background of the birthday badge, which I printed off from my Silhouette machine.  I added a bronse coloured birdcage with some paper roses, pink feather embellishment with crystal gems stalks and a red rose at the base.  A paper rose raised border down the side and flower stickers to decorate.

This is a birthday card that I made for my friends little girl.  Her favourite colour is purple and is very girly.  I chose this image for her as its cute and has a baby elephant in it.  Image used is Ali and Elephie and is coloured with promarkers.  I then layered the card with different papers including cupcake papers centralising the theme around the colour purple.  The Red 5 badge is from a set I have on my Silhouette machine.  Decorated with Docrafts flower, using a rosebud for the centre and twisting the stem to make the swirls, a glitter star, gems and half pearls.

Wall Hanging for Ryleigh x

I wanted to try something new and so I thought I would try and combine a few different images together to see if I could do it.  I decided to do an A4 size picture so that I could put it in an empty pictureframe that I had spare and thought it would make a lovely hanging for her wall.

I used three different images.  Two from Make it Crafty and one from SBS, links to follow.  I used Promarkers to colour the whole picture.  I started out by laying down the Courtyard Background image from MiC and then placed the baby dragon digi at the foot of the stairs and then resized and placed the lovely Betty Addams Digi.  I love this picture and think all the digi's really go with eachother perfectly.

Get Well Soon Cards

Recently Betty of SBS was not very well at all and me and my daughter thought it would be nice for her to receive a lovely Get Well card from us to cheer her up.  I had already picked out the image I wanted to use and then Ryleigh decided that she wanted to use the same image so we made separate cards.

The top picture is my card.  We used image Rio and Little Venus from SBS. I used some strippy background paper and a strip of blue swirls.  Raised the image with foam pads to give a little height, stuck a few gems down the side and a couple of patterned stars to decorate, along with a big Docrafts flower and green brad.

This is Ryleigh's card she made all on her own, even the colouring.  She is 6 years old bless her and has a heart of gold.  When I told her I was making Betty a card to make her feel better, she insisted on making one herself and I think she did a fantastic job.

This is a card that I made for a friend who unfortunately doesn't live locally anymore (she moved to America with her lovely husband) and who I haven't seen in years, but we have kept in contact via Facebook, so when I heard she wasn't very well I decided to make her a card to cheer her up.

The image is by Tiddlyinks and was coloured with promarkers, the papers and flowers are from dovecrafts and the embellishment was from a little local shop.

New Baby Cards

Here are a couple of Baby cards that I made recently.

The first one is for a very good and dear friend of mine Fiona, who has been through hell and back with her wonderful husband trying to have a family of their own, yet always being there for everyone else at the same time.  I admire and respect the pair of them and I know that they are going to make the best parents ever and that the little one is going to be the best dressed and kept baby ever, and that makes me so happy for them.

This image is an old image from The Stamping Chef and unfortunately is no longer available.  The Panda and Tiger cubs are from Misskatecuttables and the backing paper is from Docrafts Cupcake Collection.

The next one is for a couple that are going through a tough time at the moment as their Newborn Twins are very premature and in intensive care right now.  All our thoughts and prays go out to Chad and his family at this time.

For the image I used a Meljens Designs Sweet Little Donkey.  The backing papers are Docrafts and the Baby Monkey and Hippo are again from Misskatecuttables.

March/April Fanpage Challenge - Part Three

For my third and last entry I used Rum Pirate Corinne and the requirements again are anything goes, just add twine.

Like the previous two, I used two separate papers for the backing.
A ship and compass backing paper with a slice of treasure map paper through the middle.  I then punched a couple holes on either side of the card and threaded twine through and attached a bronze little charm of an owl on a moon.  I then again used a couple of the skull and crossbones embellishments to hide the holes.  I again combined the skull embellishment with the sentiment to make a unique label and outlined with green glitter.
I found a rum bottle clipart which I shrunk down and made a few copies and then cut them out to use as embellishments.

You dont have to enter with all three images, you can pick one and go with that, but I love Betty's images and they are fantastic value for money too so I don't mind making all three.

March/April Fanpage Challenge - Part Two

For my second card of the series of 3 I used Treasure Chest Sheri and the requirements were anything goes just use Gold or Yellow Glitter in our projects.

I used two different backing papers.  On the left is a Pirate ship and sunset paper and on the right is a treasure map paper.  I tied yellow ribbon round and attached an old wheel charm that I found from an old handbag and I think works just right.  Again I attached the skull and crossbones embellishments received with Cannon Betty to the sentiment and outlined with gold glitter.
I attached three loose skull embellishments all covered in gold glitter.  I used a small piece of netting behind the sentiment and all the embellishments and the image are attached using foam squares to add lift.  I added a little gold glitter to her hair and on the polka dots on her head scarf.

March/April Fan Page Challenge - Part 1

For this months SBS challenge we were given a Pirate Theme.  First up is Cannon Pirate Betty and the requirement was Skulls.

We had an anything goes, just use skulls on whatever we wanted from papers to embellishments.  I found a lovely backing paper that was just black with a paisley type black and white skull which I used on the right of the card and then on the left I used a skull and crossbones paper.  The cut out skull and crossbones came as a separate attachment with Cannon Pirate Betty and sentiment.  I attached a skull to my sentiment and then cut this out and outlined with purple glitter and then I attached four separate little skulls to the card with foam pads to make them stand out, aswell as Betty and the sentiment.  I usually put some form of flowers on my cards but for these I didnt want to over complicate them and thought they didnt really need them.
